When is it time for winter tyres?
Prepare for the tyre change in good time.

Summer tyres start to harden when the temperature falls below 7°C. Tyres become less flexible and lose the grip they need when accelerating or driving through corners. You should therefore plan ahead and change over to winter tyres in good time. Particularly at night, temperatures can drop sharply even when there is no ice or snow on the groundand summer tyres will become less effective.

The surface composition of winter tyres is specially designed to remain elastic and provide traction in low temperatures. To ensure that you are as safe as possible when driving, it is worthwhile switching over to winter tyres even before the first frost.

To avoid irritating delays and shortages in availability, we therefore recommend that you change to winter tyres between early October and early November, depending on where you live and your driving requirements.
