Participation conditions for the online game

Continental AG (hereinafter referred to as "Continental") is offering an online car racing game on the website www.uniroyal-online.com. Participation in this game is based on the following conditions:

§ 1 Registration and data protection

One-off registration is required for entry in the online game's high score list. The participant's details will be stored in digital form by Continental. There is no entitlement to registration. Continental is obliged to treat the participant's registered information in accordance with data protection and legal media regulations. In particular, the data will be kept in confidence.

§ 1 a Consent for data to be stored

By registering, the entrant expressly agrees to allow Continental to store the required information for the duration of the online game.

§ 1 b Possibility of withdrawing permission

The entrant is entitled to withdraw his/her permission for his/her data to be stored at any time, and thereby to withdraw from the online game. Permission can be withdrawn via e-mail to webservice@uniroyal-funcup.co.uk or in writing to Continental AG, Vahrenwalder Str. 9, 30165 Hanover, Germany. The entrant’s information will be deleted immediately upon receipt of the withdrawal.

§ 2 Premature termination of the online game

Continental reserves the right to break off or terminate the online game at any time without prior notification. This shall be the case in particular if Continental cannot ensure that the competition can be run properly for technical reasons (e.g. viruses in the computer system, hardware/software manipulation or faults) or for legal reasons. If termination of this nature became necessary due to the actions of an entrant, Continental is entitled to claim compensation for the resulting damage.

§ 3 Liability

Continental is not liable for damage caused by errors, communication delays or interruptions, faults in the technical systems or services, incorrect content, loss or deletion of data, viruses or damage which may occur for any other reason during participation in this online game, unless such damage is caused by Continental (its institutions, employees or assistants) either intentionally or through gross negligence.

§ 4 Miscellaneous

All decisions are final.

These participation conditions and the entire legal relationship between the participants and Continental is subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.

If individual terms of the participation conditions are or become invalid, the validity of the other entry conditions is unaffected.

These participation conditions can be altered by Continental at any time without separate notification.
