  • Exchange program on Winter Van-Tyre Uniroyal SnowMax 2 in 195/60 R 16 C
  • Tyres only delivered to Germany, France, Switzerland, Netherlands and Croatia
  • Only approximately 500 tyres affected
  • Program covers tyres produced in weeks 14 and 15 of 2017

Hanover, February 26th, 2018. Uniroyal today announced a voluntary tyre exchange program covering 500 winter van-tyres Uniroyal SnowMax 2 tyres in 195/60 R16 C. Due to the use of a not specified compound material, the tyres could potentially result in a tread separation. This could result in tread material loss with potential negative effect on vehicle handling. To date, Uniroyal has not received any reports of accidents or injuries in connection with this condition. The exchange program is initiated proactively to avoid any potential risk to vehicle drivers and other road-users. The affected tyres were delivered to customers Germany, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and Croatia.

The affected Uniroyal tyres can be identified as follows:

Article description

The last four digits of the DOT serial numbers indicate the production period (week/year). Affected tyres will be replaced free of charge. No other tyre sizes, production periods or product lines are affected.
